What are alpha rays?

Alpha rays are made up of helium particle and having a change of 2+ and that make it very light and very powerful.

These are mostly about two proton element and have a net spin to be zero and these have a kinetic energy of about 5 MeV of kinetic energy and have a 5% speed of light.

Properties of alpha rays

The main properties of alpha rays mainly depends on its nature that is very heavy than the other particles and are very slow in comparison to other particles and have a very high ionization potential that make their penetration power to be very low and that make it not that easily reach many places and penetrate not more than few laters only.

These are made up of uranium and radium particles that after the radiation they dissolve element into its lesser state.
