Hello Guys!!
Introduction
This is going to be a series where I will teach about some of the few topics that are needed to be learned to have a better understanding of many topics and enhance your knowledge and when I will talk about it there will be link to this and other such topic that teach you many basic terma and there whole fuss around them
This is going to be about beta rays and its very basic.
What is beta ray
These are very high speed and very high energy electron or positrons that are being emitted by atomic nucleus decay that so at the of beta decay.
These are mainly of two types that are Beta+ (β+ )and Beta-(β−) these are very good in case and have very different properties from each other.
Beta- :-
This occurs when neutron converts into the proton. These β− decay commonly occurs among the neutron-rich fission byproducts produced in nuclear reactors.
Beta+ :-
These occur when proton convert into the neutron.
β− decay commonly occurs among the neutron-rich fission byproducts produced in nuclear reactors.
Uses of Beta rays
As beta rays have a very high penetration ate so these are used to pass many objects like in airports and shops to use to detect many elements and that help in security.
These are also being used in treatment in bone cancer and many other types of cancers.
