Ion Engine

The modern rocket are all seems to be so much outdated and make our space travel very inefficient and make nearly impossible as in our current state the fuel is being carried by us and with the chemical reaction between hydrogen and while burning it we releases energy and water this may be very efficient than other sources but for space it is not very good as nearly 80% of the weight of the craft is of the fuel in many cases that make it very hard to make very long-range mission that make us think about new tech and one that is not that very hard to do is ion engine.

This type of engine is made by the help of ions and their force in this there is a use of positive ions being emitted out that make them to push and at a very high speed of around 25-39 km per sec and has a very high efficiency of 80-90% while modern engine is around 40-60% that make it a very good case scenario for space travel.

The one disadvantage is that due to the presence of ions in our atmosphere this can't work as they will just collide with each other and not make emission possible.

The working

Due to the high charge mass ratio of ions, this makes even small potential difference can create a very large amount of flux velocity that with help of third law make the ship move.

The most efficient of all the ion engine tech by the use of electrostatics and electromagnetism is by the use of plasma as it delivers a very high amount of energy in a very short period of time.

This makes the ship to move in a very constant and progressive acceleration that makes it reach a very high speed and make a better case as here the fuel can be very huge and be near-infinite and make the best use for many light spaceship and may not work with current space mission but if we use many at the same time we can make new space hights.
