                          Red Giant

Red giant is one of the few states that some types of stars take place during there whole life and is somewhat in their end of there lifetime or the life span.

Stage of A Red Giant

Red Giant stage is one of the last stages of the stars in their life span this state lies for more than 30000-40000 years that may seem too large but for star is one of the smallest stages of there life span and this state has a very large changes in the star.

Red giant stage is when the star run out of hydrogen and starts to burn other elements like helium and fe and other much heavier elements this stage is very dangerous as at this the surface temperature of the star increases by a large amount and even there size is also increased by a large amount.

For matter of fact when our sun hit the red giant state it will swallow the mercury and somewhat had burn down venus and will come very very close to earth much like what the mercury is right now to the sun relative to that when it will happen all the water and life would be burnt down and life would end but it has also some benefit that for Saturn that is now super cold will be melt and few satellite ie moons will become habitable as it has some water present there as being studied.

This state is only achieved by small and medium-size star because it doesn't have the mass to collapse it and make it into neutron star and even a black hole that make it special.

What after that

After the red state, there are few stars that may collapse and came an explosion and some will just run out of fuel to burn and will be dead forever but in case our sun its not good as seeing its size, it will burst and destruct the whole solar system.

These were one of the few stages of sun and other stars that are smaller in size and are near then life end.
